Singapore

Crazy Rich Asians, the movie reminded people how advanced and rich Singapore is. In the movie, Marina Bay Sands and its amenities were prominently featured. The breath taking city view from the top of the hotel is a must for tourists. The swimming pool is restricted to guests only. The next morning we woke up bright and early and went for a swim in the infinity pool at around 6:00 A.M. The largest above ground swimming pool in the world, it sits on top of 57 floor Marina Bay Sands, overlooking the city. We swam and took pictures - the view was remarkable.

After one hour swim, we went back to our hotel room, got dressed, and went down to breakfast. We went to breakfast the same place as the previous day since it was so delicious last time.

After breakfast, mom and dad went to go get the laundry. Once the laundry was collected, we all got ready to go to Gardens by the Bay.

We walked since it was very close. Once we arrived there, we went to the flower dome. There was a Japanese theme; we walked through the Torii's - red Japanese gate - and saw all the cherry blossoms. As we walked through the flower dome we saw all sorts of flowers, cacti, and other trees.

Once we finished the flower dome, we all went towards the cloud dome. It represented a cloud forest. There were plants that grow there and we learned about how the cloud forests might disappear because of climate change. Did you know that there are about 600 mountain gorilla's left in the wild and they live in cloud forest?

We walked through the cloud dome and once we were finished, we went to Supertree Grove and we took an elevator to the second floor of one of the larger Supertree's. We took a walk across the bridge.

Once we finished we headed towards the art and science museum. We took pictures on the outside and then headed back to the hotel.

At around 6:30, we went to get dinner. We went to an Indian restaurant near Little India. After dinner we went to the train station for a ride to the zoo. The zoo had a night safari show at the amphitheater. The presenter was engaging; various nocturnal animals were presented, including the great horned owl, the fishing cat, a hyena, and many more.

When the night safari show ended, we caught a tram and drove around learning about the animals. It was very exciting but also a little disappointing that we didn't see some of the animals they mentioned. Once we finished the safari, we took a taxi back to the hotel.

When we got to the hotel, we got ready for bed - it was 11:30 - we went to sleep. After all, the next day we were going to Malaysia!
