The Batu Caves is a limestone hill that serves as a Hindu Religious site. It is a major tourist attraction located few miles outside of KL. It is actively being used by worshippers as we saw during our visit. There are strict dressing restrictions for visitors. In addition to the extensive steep stairs, there are many alters with bright colors and patterns. The main destination was a sunlit cave hollowed and grayed with age. The location seem to serve as a monkey colony as there were many monkeys up and down the stairs and in the caves.

After lounging at the hotel for a few hours and swimming in the pool, we went to the local mall.
There, we ate some Malaysian cuisine, and wandered the stores. Later, we took a taxi to the central market. Bustling with activity, we were able to purchase a few things, as well in nearby Chinatown market known for selling fake and knock-off brand items
One of the retailers reminded us they he sells "real fakes" not f'ake' items There, they had a street market, lit by traditional Chinese lamps.
After an exhausting day, the kids were happy to be back at the hotel.
