Ifan Museum of African Art, Dakar, Senegal is one of the oldest museums on the continent with interesting art pieces from various parts of Africa. We expected more than we saw. Interesting nonetheless.
One common theme is the relationship between religion and art. Some of the pieces had religious roots, including the masks, initiation tools, etc.

A great piece, representing today and future of the continent. It is a a great symbol. But why did we need North Koreans to build this? The symbol of the continent ought to have been built by the many great artists and engineers.
